I would like to know about US K1 Visa?

Right now our paper work r send to NVC.Its been 2 weeks the report shows the same thing.No progress.And no changes in status.I live in California but i was told that people living in CA has more chances for the paper process to go faster.But i think its going very slow.
Next question is that if my paper work doesnt work than i will go to my gf country and marry her.So after marriage will she be able to come with me.....even if our paper process is goin on .
I told my gf that if the paper work doesnt work till end of July than on end of Aug i will come to her
country to marry her...
Is this a wise decision i m making?

I filed a K-1 Visa for my fiance. It was just about 8 months from the time I filed till the time she went for her interview. Her interview was at the US Embassy in China and was held by South Koreans. I guess everybody has to be involved in some way. The Koreans turned her down saying we did not have a bona fide relationship. I tried to ttalk to everybody to find out what the problem was and was told nobody had to talk to me. I had been to China to see her 3 times and talked to her 6 nights each week on the IM. Anyway like one person said, now we are married and I am filing for the K-3. By the way I used a lawyer the first time and again this time. I wish you luck.

two weeks in very fast in the immigration world. how long it takes will depend to some extent on where you will be interviewed. Manila is very busy, but it takes longest to get an interview in Guangzhou. by the way, if you do actually marry your fiance, you will void out your fiance visa, since at that point, she'll be your wife. if you do go to marry, you'll just have to file a new I-130 immigrant petition for her ant that will start the clock all over again.
