At 16 yrs of age , you're still considered a minor. So your parents and aunts and uncles can sponsor you to come. You can apply for a multiple entry visa. Again, you need consent of your parents as you're considered a minor. It would be so much easier if you have relatives over here. They would be able to sponsor you. They have to show that they have enough funds n the bank and guarantee that you won't become a public charge.
Another way to come here would be thru a student visa. You can also apply for a tourist visa. But that would take time. A student visa is your best bet.
There are certain quotas that immigration allows for each country. As there are many people from the Phils applying for immigration. That quota is bursting at the seam. Many doctors and nurses find it easier to emigrate as these professions are more in demand in here. Plus the fact, that there is quite a shortage. |

I know of many 16 year old Filipinos that have been denied tourist visas by the US embassy. It is NOT because of age that you will be granted visa or not
US Embassy in the Philippines is VERY STRICT. Getting a visa nowadays is like going through the eye of the needle. You need to prove to the consul that:
- You or your parents have the resources to support your travel. Bring your parents assets, bank account statements, land documents, etc. during your interview
- You can prove that you will come back to the Philippines after your tourist visa expires. This is the MOST CRUCIAL that you must have compelling evidence to come back. Do you study in school? Will you be enrolled this coming school year?
Sometimes it is harder to get a tourist visa if the US Embassy finds out that you have a parent or close relative in the US because they will think that you are likely to stay in the US and be supported by this relative. |

You have a US Embassy/Consulate in the Philippines, For a definite answer and not just opinions, you should write a letter to the embassy and ask them. You might pay for a telephone call instead. |
