I live in bangladesh.my brother is an u.s citizen.he applied for our immigration on march of 1999 under the f4 catagory (petition for brothers and sisters of american citizens).so how much time exactly is left till we get our first letter so tht we can start the processing for visa.

They are currently processing March 1998. One year to go. I am sure that one year will seem a lot longer than the time you already spent waiting.

It takes at least 10 years from start to finish... 15-22 years in other countries (like the Philippines or Mexico).

There is no visa for brothers and sisters. You need to apply by yourself. I hope you aren't giving him money.

Oh my god, Vanessa, I think that person has no idea what a visa is.
He thought it's a credit card probably.

But i would agree with Vanessa and say 10 years from the date when it was petitioned for.
