Having traveled out there, let me just say that except for a few "choice locals"...who'd want it? What in God's name would we ever do with, say...Angola? Turn it into Disney theme park? Who'd want the responsibility for all the people, too?
Nah...let em keep it. We've got our own problems to deal with. |

I would start and end with Russia. And perhaps toss in Cuba just for kicks.
Annex of Russia would give us a wealth of natural resources including oil. It would give us true control of the majority of the worlds atomic and ballistic missile ordinance.
Russia would offer a great staging ground for military activity in the rest of Asia, the Mid-East and Europe. We would have a border with China our chief supplier of athletic shoes and air mattresses.
Further we could ease up on our border problems, allowing those excess farm workers from Mexico to build up the vast potential of Russian agriculture. A true blessing in the face of world hunger.
Since we would then have Siberia, we could ease the over crowded U.S. prison system. Terrorists would also have a place to make climatic adjustments; freed from the adverse cognitive effects of generations spent in the desert.
The American and Russian criminal element would probably meld better. The CIA and Russian intelligence (old KGB) are well acquainted. We could have mole coming out parties!
When you stop and think about it, for us and Russia it could be a win-win situation. |
