From what I have read and heard the speculation is his mother. Presidential office requires a natural-born citizen. US Law very clearly stipulates: ".If only one parent was a U.S. citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16." Barack Obama's father was not a U.S. citizen and Obama's mother was only 18 when Obama was born, which means though she had been a U.S. citizen for 10 years, (or citizen perhaps because of Hawai'i being a territory) the mother fails the test for being so for at least 5 years **prior to** Barack Obama's birth. His mother was not old enough to qualify her son for automatic U.S. citizenship. She would have needed to be 21 years old when she gave birth in order for him to be a natural born US citizen.

The birth certificate stuff is all bunk. He was born in Hawaii. He is a US citizen.

1) Lets all assume he is a citizen and stop this.
2) I dont care what % of what his great uncle or whatever was.
I am very sure though that he is not a plant, most plants are green and have leaves.

WE DONT KNOW..............Obama was sued by a Hillary Clinton supporter to produce his birth certificate. Obama's lawyers tried to have that dismissed and a Federal Judge ordered him to do so. He has yet to do that. You will notice that Obama went to Hawaii recently, I wonder if he was able to pick up the Original while he was there?

This has been long debunked. You can find it at www.factcheck.org. He's produced a valid birth certificate and is a US citizen.

As for "African-American" I think you should just leave it he identifies himself with both his African roots and with America. It's not incorrect, so there's no need to pick at it.

The reason that he's not "Arabic" is that he doesn't believe in the Islam. What someone else says about him is not relevant when he's a Christian. As such, he can't be Arabic.

Now that you know, I'm sure you'll back off from the "Obama is a plant" thing.

And, no, what people on YouTube say does not fact make. You need to actually go with what the FEC says and they say that they are satisfied that he's an American and can legally be president.

So... what part of HE'S ALREADY PROVIDED A VALID BIRTH CERTIFICATE do you not understand?

I didn't say I don't use Google...but you can't tell people to look something up on google all "willy nilly" lol..give us an UNBIASED website that is reputable that proves your "he's a plant" theory. Oh and it's Law Suit, not SUITE and WHETHER, (Weather, as you have is rain, snow...etc.)

Yes, he is an American citizen. You can't run for President if you are not a citizen. It doesn't matter if you were not born here, or you're not pure American - as long as you're legally qualified and has completed all the necessary requierements to become a US citizen.

i am almost certain he is.. not sure why he is having so many issues producing the required documents...

the case is pending... it is waiting a ruling on a motion to dismiss.. the federal elections commission has filed a motion to dismiss the case based on a lack of jurisdiction...

O'Bama has a passport so i ASSUME he ran his birth certificate through the state department already .. but i am not sure.. i just can't find enough hard evidence on this one...

it is VERY clear that the one posted on his website is probably NOT real....

Just by looking at him, you can tell he in not Arabic, he is black. Arabs are not black, they are just dark. And Kenya is in Africa, so African-American is a believe precise. And it is indeed racist to judge people by theri racial characteristics (it is the definition of racism, in fact).
As for being a US citizen or not, I believe a senator must also be a US citizen, so I guess this issue has been long solved, if it ever existed.

Find real arguments against a candidate, based on his policies, not his birth. That is what democracy is about.

PS. Jay, Arabic does not mean Muslim! An Arab is a person with national or racial provenance from Arabia. There are some Christian Arabs, for example in Syria, Lebanon, and Jerusalem.

I am wondering this also. I keep hearing a lot of speculations. At first I thought it was the most ridiculous thing that had been brought up in the election. Then when I learned that a judge ordered him to produce his vault BC and he still, to this day, has not corresponded to the judges request, I began to wonder what he is trying to hide? If he is in fact a legal, natural born citizen, why is it so hard to produce this document? I also read that in order to go to school in Indonesia, you have to be a citizen, so did he give up his American citizenship to go to school in Indonesia when he lived there with his mother and step father? Because if he had, the law states he would have had to get naturalized as a citizen when he came back and he would no longer be natural born. There are ALL kinds of speculations, I wish I knew how to find out the truth.

yea, there's been a lot of research on that from some lawyer in Pennsylvania (i think). Fact is, he's innocent until proven guilty. In the result that the lawsuit against him does go through before the election, it'll probably cause a huge debacle, if it happens after an Obama victory, we will probably have Biden presidency.

But it might just be some fabrication to stir up Americans, who knows.

Yes, Obama is a U.S. citizen. The lawsuit you mentioned is stalled for now and will have no effect on the election. After the election, it will be a moot point. The percentage of ethnicity for anyone is a waste of time and paper space. There is, quite simply no scientific means to determine such a thing, so terms like African or Arabian-American are senseless.

Muslim as a religion not arabic as a race. I think his father was a muslim but Obama is from another religion totally different from his fathers.
He is 1/2black and 1/2 white.
He is a U.S. Citizen.

If he is a citizen, why don't he come to the public,himself, and show proof and put all this speculation aside, unless there is something to hide
