The correct answer is the size of the CIA is classified as is its budget. However I think it is big.
Well the three organizations you cited all no longer exist and none is exactly analogous to the CIA. I am sure it is not much larger (and probably smaller) than the KGB was because the KGB included the "border guards" of the soviet union. But in terms of the intelligence gathering portions only, yes, I'd say it was probably much larger even than the KGBs.
For scale purposes only consider that the USA spends as much on its military as the NEXT 48 nations COMBINED (source: CIA Factbook) and for many years it has been traditionally a larger budget than the entire rest of the world.
So I think you can safely assume the CIA gets the same level of funding. That is, it is arguably larger than the combined foreign intelligence services of the next 50 countries. |

It's not the size of an organisation that affects the citizens in the the country where it is based.
The CIA is to protect the law abiding citizens of that country, and there will always be people objecting to it's existence, these are people who want to destabilise the country and pick on any errors committed by the CIA with the greatest wooden spoon they can find.
The other three organisations you mentioned were built up to subvert the citizens of their host country so that they could only express views acceptable to their dictator.
Here in the UK we have the Labour Government with its "You must not speak out today against any groups that were unacceptable in your youth" |

If you asked this kind of question in public in Nazi Germany, Communist East Germany or the Soviet Union, you would get a knock on the door in the middle of the night and be carted off to prison or a slave labour camp.
