Is my baby entitled to US passport?

I was born in ireland and have always lived in ireland. My father is american and moved over to ireland when he met my mom. I therefore have dual citizenshp. I just had a baby boy in november and his father is irish. Do you know if my baby is entitled to a us passport as i have dual citizenship??

Ok thanks for the answers guys but i wasnt born in the us and i have a us passport. And they do allow dual citizenship, otherwise i would have to choose

No, your baby is not eligible. For you to pass your US citizenship to your child you would have actually had to live in the United States a minimum of 5 years and 2 of those years must have been after the age of 14.

The US will have no problem with your dual citizenship, however, as I wrote above, you can't pass it along unless you have actually lived here.

Your baby has to be born in the United States to be eligible for a US passport, since your husband is not American, are not in the US armed forces.

YUP..Your baby defaults as a US citizen as long as you have not renounced your US citizenship.
