'cause my status is that i stayed out of the country for 2 years and my greencard expired then we had to apply for a new one and it's already been 10 months and my greencard is not with me yet. people told me that it'll come after 2 years cause i had to "payback" the days i was out of mainland US. but my temporary visa expires on JULY. what will i do? =(

Because you were given a green card once, and the service accepted your application, for a legal visa, you most likely will get it. There is no such a thing as paying back for time outside the USA. If you had accumulated credits toward your social security, you will not loose them. |

Not quite certain what you mean by "payback" - there are US residency requirements in order to maintain your Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) status, and there are additional US residency requirements for LPR's who wish to naturalize as US citizens. However, there is no mechanism to pay back time spent out of the US.
