Your best way to visit the republic of Ireland is to fly to the UK part of Ireland ( northern ireland- belfast) ,,, and then get the train or bus down to the republic of Ireland... there is no border check points there so you will be fine....

It depends which part of Ireland you want to visit, Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom it consists of 6 counties, (see a political map) the capital is Belfast, for the Republic of Ireland or (Eire) the Capital is Dublin, if you wanted to visit both it would be best to ask at whichever embassy you contact about that.
