you will need to show that you have 30 euros per day for every day of your stay in Spain, as well as somewhere to stay

A sponsor is someone who will take responsibility of someone who is MOVING/migrating to another country. If you are only planning to visit, then return back to the Philippines, you don't need a sponsor. You may need a visa, though. That I don't know.

You will be asked about income. There are income guidelines for Spain but these are not etched in stone. During your visa interview you will be asked about your income. Having a contact (especially a relative) in Spain can be helpful during the application and interview process as it shows that there is support in Spain for you (though your income might be low). You will have to characterize the travel as a visit to you sister and of course tourism/visit. Be positive, friendly, dress professionally.
