Italian Visa Verification ?

I wanted to know whether my italian visa is genuine or not. How can i find out from the detail supplied on my visa details.I m afarid that if it is not a genuine then i may not get trapped in leggal actions.i hve obtained this visa through an agent but that agent has not provided me any infomation in respect of refrence no. of my application.

No agent can issue an Italian visa. It must always be applied for in person at the Italian Embassy or Consulate General.

The Schengen visa is a sticker affixed to the passport and looks like the sample in the first source provided.

The second source shows a Schengen visa issued by Finland. For the Italian visa the first column valid for will state "Stati Schengen".

The visa should be a sticker in your passport, which has a number on it. If you don't have a sticker in your passport, then you don't have a visa !

If you are concerned about the validity of the visa, simply call the embassy and ask them to confirm that they issued it.

what agent? the only way to get a visa is a chip on your passaport issued in italy at the american USA embassy
