will we be interviewed? will they talk to family as well as us?

At some point you will be interviewed, and prove the marriage is genuine and in good faith. Like having joint bank accounts, mortgage/titles/loans in both names, original entry into the country was legal,etc.

What worked for us, believe it or not, was we brought my sister-in-law's scrapbook, that had plenty of pictures with date stamps on them. It provided a chronological history of our courtship/marriage.

If I recall I think my wife's aunt,and her sister-in-law, also wrote testimonials about us.
