Anyone know if employers need to pay for airfare when they layoff H1B holders? Also are H1B holders subjected to protection law, when they feel they are treated, being taken advantages or layoff unfairly by their employers with their H1B status?

You are generally considered at "at will" employee. That means that you can be terminated for any reason, as long as its not illegal, at any time.
You better be ready to fly back home, and its probably on your cost, unless your contract has something in it that it is the employer's responsibility. |
