Leaving UK the day my Visa expires?

Hi, I planned to leave UK to India on the last day of my Visa. I contacted UK Home Office regarding this. They told me I may travel to India on the last day. Anyone left UK like this on the last day? Any suggestions?

If you are an Indian citizen, then ur visa in the UK doesn't matter at all...
Its because you are not entering into the UK, you are leaving the country instead.

But if you have a plan to come back to UK again after traveling to the India, then u better extend the duration of your visa first to not have any future problems.

it is perfectly legal to leave on your last day.

Your Visa will expire the same day you leave it will be okay. Its legal
