How Long have you been living here? Do you work Legally? Are you a student? or can you work for a US company in the US who cannot hire a US Citizen in your field?e.g.some types of scientists, engineers, medical personnel language specialists etc)

There are a LOT of ifs there. The ONLY people with ALL the correct answers are the Homeland Security officials. ( used to be called US Immigration Dept Offices in all major cities) Check their addresses on the Internet --Google = THEN GO IN PERSON--its worth the boring wait and the advice is legal AND FREE.!!

Here's what we did on 15 march 1970.I came with my 2 children "transit w/out visa', was married March 17th in the US as we'd planned the year before- to my dear US serviceman. We took our marriage certificate and **all my own official documents from my own country --passports custody papers birth certificates financial statements roundtrip tickets etc., on March 18th, flew to Toronto 's US Consulate offices. ** LARGE 4lb file of papers! --The ir offices granted my children and I Permanent Resident Alien status (so called "green cards") that day, we flew back to Washington DC. Next morning we set off down I 95 to his next duty station in Florida--he had to report for duty there by March 22nd at 0600 (6 am)!

I havent ever had a problem using the same green card crossing the border into Mexico and returning or going home to my country and returning back to my home here. (... still married to the same guy too)

GOOD LUCK and dont try to pay to have papers ok'd for you, all those "arrangers" are FAKES!!

no, u must go back in your homecountry and wait till your K3 visa is approved .
your hubby must file the petition asap after you married.
you could stay in the usa during the process but that is not real legal ,and you can not leave then the US during that waiting time .
i would go home and wait for the papers

good luck

Yes, but your spouse needs to set it up. Go here. Your spouse needs to file papers to get you started on your green card. It is a long process.

It all depends on where you marry, and where you are from.

You may find this interesting:

And just a little advice...you should be actually living with your spouse wherever you are. Although a "marriage of convenience" will typically earn you a spell in an all-expenses paid cell!

Please make sense! Either you are living in the US or not!

Technically, if you are Russian for instance, it would be stupid to marry an American here as you would have to go through the whole process and still could be sent back!

The best way is for him to go there, you get a Fiancees Visa, and then you have 90 days to make up your mind and you have no chance of having to go back!
