Marriage into Citizenship in the United States?

Hi, I have a question on earning American citizenship in the U.S. through marriage.

Let's say an American born citizen wants to turn someone a foreigner he loves into a citizen, and he decides to do this through marriage.

What are the laws, stipulations and steps required to do this?

Does his soon to be spouse need to be a certain age? Is she required to abide to laws of her country to marry him, or just the U.S.'s required laws?

How quickly would she become a citizen?

Is there anything else you can detail, define or explain so I can understand this situation better?

The only way marriage INTO citizenship IN the US would be for a US citizen to petition his/her fiance(e) from another country (12-18 months processing) into the US and marry him/her within (90) days of his/her arrival. Then adjust to become a conditional permanent resident. After 3 years, then that person can APPLY for naturalization to become a citizen.

Well you can also marry outside the US and petition them but that would not be marrying IN the US.

The US citizen needs to filled the I-130 to give his/her spouse the residency, not the citizenship. Once he/she get the residency, can apply after 3 years to take the citizenship test. This is just a summary is more complicated the steps to follow and the time needed.

Once US Citizen marries a foreigner, s/he must file petition for the Immigrant Visa or Permanent Resident Status (green card) on behalf of the foreign spouse. It will take 8 to 12 months for the foreign spouse to get 2 year conditional green card.

90 days before that expires, US Citizen and foreign spouse must file I-751 to Remove the condition. Once that is approved, the foreign spouse will get 10 year unconditional green card. 3rd year of the first green card approval anniversary, if they are still married then the foreign spouse can apply for the Naturalization to become US Citizen.

You must pass English proficiency and US Civics test at the interview. If you get approved, you will get a notice to show at Citizenship oath to finalize your process.

you cant turn the foriegner into a citizen directly , you can get them an permenant resident immigration visa.
you can do 2 things, you can either marry the person first in the foriegn country and then apply for a spouse visa , or you can apply for a a fiance visa and that person can come to the US and then you can marry that person in the US within 90 days. for more details u can check the following links

they can only get a permanent visa, it takes up to 15-20 years to obtain actual citizenship.
