May i get troubles with my citezenship?

i am a permanent resident of the USA for 2 years and i am 25 years old now (i am a man). when i've become permanent resident i didnt apply for selective service...it passed 2 years. i am planning to apply now but isnt that late? can it affect later to get my citezenship (in 3 years). do u think is that a problem?
