My boyfriend is an British citizen. he needs to obtain a private visa in order to visit me in ukraine. Is it difficult to get it? Does he need an original letter of invitation or it can be sent via email?thanks for your help.

Since I know a bit more about your situation than the others... :)
It is easy to get, as long as he has not already overstayed his 90 days in Ukraine. Even then, it is relatively easy to get the visa, as the Ukrainian consulate is more interested in collecting the visa fee than anything (no offense meant).
He needs to contact the consulate in London (or Eidenbergh) and ask them exactly what documents they will want. Ukrainian law does not require UK citizens to have an invitation from OVIR to come, but some of the consulates will require it anyway.
Regardless of what they say, it doesn't hurt to have the invitation. Getting that from OVIR will be the most difficult part of the process, as you are the one who will have to stand in the turn to get it. |
