The Constitution says:
"No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."
This means that the Presidency is limited to those who are US citizens from birth, regardless of where they were born. There are, of course, millions of US citizens who were not born in the US but acquired citizenship at birth from their patents. Those people may run for President; naturalized citizens (such as Arnold S. and Madeleine Albright, just as a couple of examples) may not.
