My passport is going to expiry in the month of nov2008 if i apply now how much time for get new passport delhi

I am planing to go Aug 4th to 8th -2008 to singapore before that can i get my renewal passport.Even my old passport which i got from my native place Trichy,Tamil Nadu,But now i am in Delhi shall i renewal my passport in Delhi for eg. if i submitt my passport by coming friday when i will get my new passport.Since my old passport validity is upto Nov-2008 or else weather they can increase the validity and give for emergency purpose.

sir the passport can be renewed once it has been expired...hence it cant be submited yet..and as you are going in Aug its still a long way to expire...and incase you submit for renewl it should take 30-45 days at most ...incase you dont get it by then just file a RTI application...and you most probably would get it within 15days of filing the RTI..
