Non immigrant visa in Thailand...plz answer..really need help?

weel, the story is that my parents came to live in Thailand, but they got a non-immigrant one entry visa (as we don't have Thai embassy in our country, but have only consulate), it's time to extend the visa...so, they say my parents need to go to another country which has a thai embassy...CAN'T WE EXTEND THE VISA IN THAILAND?????

The possibility depends very much on the type of visa they have right now. If they have a business (B) visa, then a :
"Holder of this type of visa is entitled to stay in Thailand for a maximum period of 90 days. He or she may apply for an extension of stay at the Office of the Immigration Bureau and may be granted such extension for a period of one year from the date of first entry into Thailand." |

If you and your parents intends to live in Thailand, then they got to have an immigrant visa, non-immigrant visa can't be converted into an immigrant visa. Therefore, you need to travel back to your country of origin and return back to Thailand with a proper visa. Make sure that you are granted immigrant visa this time. |

no. your parents cannot extend their visa to Thailand since they entered on a non immigrant visa.your parents did not go trough the proper procedures.you cannot live in a country with a NON IMMIGRANT visa. |
