I am an american citizen in china i sponsored my wife I-130 and was accepted, I am hospitalized , unable to travel alone to have immidiate surgery in the states , I called the consulate ,she has an appointment what is the required documentation , form to bs filled out (can they be done on line and if so what form N* or website) already have valid chinese passport would appreciate good information from knowlwedgeble persons thanks Semper FI

Doghouse is right, if your wife has a pending immigration case it's very unlikely she will be granted a tourist visa. The embassy knows the first thing you are going to do upon getting to the United States is apply for a change of status for her.

It is extremely unlikely that your wife will qualify for a tourist visa since her immigrant visa is in process.
