Determine if the same mistake was made in Arabic and English, and which gender was marked on the visa. If it is just a typographical error in English, it should not be a problem as long as all of your other documents are in order.

Thats definitely a problem. If theres an error in visa of any form its considered as invalid, I would recommend you to inform the authorities and it takes only few minutes to change it, otherwise you might face difficulties in immigration while entering UAE or exiting from UAE. UAE follows strict immigration rules. I live in UAE and I know the Immigration Rules Here.
