Passport validity H1B Visa stamping?

Hi,
My passport is expiring on 10/2009. I recently got my H1B renewal.
Will they stamp my visa and I-94 until my passport expiry or H1B expiry?
Should I apply for new passport and then go for stamping or get the stamping first and apply for new passport?
Please help. I'm in a great dilemma.

Your I94 and your visa will be stamped and validated for a period that will expire 90 days before your passport expires.

You will need to get a new passport, then apply for an extension, or if you are close to the border, it will be easier to depart the US and then apply for admission as a H1B, carry both your old and new passport. You can then be issued a new I94 that will expire when your visa expires.

You will then have to carry both passports, as one has your I94 and the other will contain your visa.

If you get visa stamp on the expiring passport, after you get your new passport, you have to carry 2 passports. New one for valid passport and the old one for the H1B visa. Embassy won't restamp your visa on the new passport.

Or if you can wait until you get new passport and make an appointment to get visa stamp, then you can get visa stamped on your new passport.
