Even if you are not sure of what last name she uses now, you have good chances to find her on white pages because U.S. residents are usually found on that site and you can request more info about her for some dollars if you find her name. Her age and name would be indicated on the site so you could get a clue about her whereabouts that way. If your uncle is still legally married to her, she could not get re-married because that would be a crime.

I would not try to find her on the basis of immigration records because those are confidential and it is very unlikely that you could access them.

check with ins. imigration and naturalization service. they should have her record when she came into the country under her old name, it will have contact information on it

Geez, you don't know what her last name was, no idea where she lived 13 years ago, and think anyone here can find that out for you? If she left your uncle and never wrote him back, don't you think she doen't want to be found? Try finding what name she used to migrate to the US, what state she landed and/or lived initially. Then start there. If that means a lot to you, hire a PI in that state. Good luck.**

If she's here legally, then you should be able to find her. If she went through immigration, then there will be a record. Do I remember right that Fillipinos use 2 last names, like Hispanics? If so, then you may want to search for her using both of those names as a last name. To clarify, if her name were Maria Lopez Gonzales, then you should search for Maria Lopez and Maria Gonzales. Sometimes we Americans get confused about which one is your family name, and get that information wrong on your paperwork.

If she's here illegally, you should understand that she doesn't want to be found by the authorities, so it would be hard for you to find her, too. If you have any general idea where she might have gone, then maybe you can get in touch with the Fillipino community in that city. I bet even if you look for familiar lastnames in the yellowpages, somebody could know her.

If you do start randomly dialing, leave your full name and a number where you can be reached. They might think you're immigration trying to track her down, so if you leave your name and number, they might give it to her later, even if they won't tell you that they know her.
