Hi,

I am an information security consultant working in India, and have to make a short, 1 week, visit to Iran for official work.

I want to know, does a visit to Iran reduces my chance of getting an H1B Visa for US later?

It could have just change your passport after your return.

They might be a little concerned about it but it is not an issue.
You can renew your passport and all the visas will be gone.
