I am on H1B currently in the US.My visa is one time entry and I need to go to canada for one day and come back.Do not have time to go to us consulate in canada to get reentry visa.Is there a way to get my reentry visa/stamp while i am still in the US?considering that getting it from canada will take a week as they always do background check and all the information comes from the US and i can not be off work for 1 week.If you have any information plesae help me out,thank you

usually an H1B visa is a multiple entry visa, it was odd that yours in not.
The US consulate here in the US will NOT issue VISA, you need to go back to your home country to apply for new US visa. On the other hand, when you exit the US,you need to surrender your I94 card. IF you have multiply entry H1B visa, and you need to re enter the US all you have to do is to bring your documents with you like work contract etc to prove to the US immigration officer that you are legitimate employer of your company.
it's impossible to get a US visa in Canada, you are not a Permanent Resident of Canada, you are just a tourist there. Only Canada PR's are allowed to apply for US visa in Canada.

No, it's not possible. You have to do it at a US consulate overseas.
How odd that your H1B is a single entry, I thought they were all multiple entry visas. |
