Regarding H1B Pitition?

Dear Friends,
I had H1B Visa, i travelled once to United states and come back. Now i transferred the pitition to a new employer.
It was transfer and extension. I recieved the transfer pitition document also , all this happened before six months. The new employer is not sending me to stamping and i am not getting proper response from him.
I suspect the pitition he shared with me could be the fake one. How to know whether it is a valid pitition or fake one?

well, you can't get a new visa while in the US. you'd have to leave and apply outside of the US at one of the embassies. you say you got an transfer petition document. that will have the information you need. If it's an I-797, you should be fine. but you can always check with USCIS to find out. If it isn't though, you'll have to leave since you would have no status in the US in that case.

You should have a case number with the petition. Go onto www.uscis.com and you can track it there. If you can't find it, it is fake.
