Renewal of philippine green passport?

My passport will be expired this july.I just want to know if i can renew it in the Philippines since i am planning to have vacation this coming April.If not what am i going to do?If there is any online services that can help me to renew my passport without having personal appearance to the philippine consulate.Because the only philippine consulate that near in texas are chicago and Los angeles.Im hoping that somebody can help me with my problem.i will appreciate all your answers.Thank you very much.

The Philippine government now only issues a new machine readable passport both for new applications and renewals(maroon). Whether you renew it in the Philippines or in the Consulate that covers the state where you live here in the States, it is mandatory to appear in person because of the biometrics requirement (fingerprint and picture taking).They don't issue green passports anymore but the ones who are holding an unexpired green ones can still use them until its expiration.You just decide which is more convenient for you to have your passport renewal (here or in the Phil.)
