I naturalized a few weeks ago and I was told to sign my certifiicate with my full name, that's not my signature! my signature is a gibberish. Problem is, when I applied for my passport the clerk said to sign EXACTLY like in my naturalization certificate. HOW DO I SIGN MY PASSPORT?!!! Can I sign with the gibberish I always sign?
My main problem with this is they made me change my signature for no reason whatsoever and I am not cool with this, now I'll have to report of the change to the SS office and everybody else since with the naturalization I also changed my name!.
It is so uncool, I would go ahead and sign my passport with my usual signature but I am not sure if at the port of entry they will stop me or give me any trouble with this. is the signature matched against a data or something? , what's the deal? Thanks.

The signature is the common one you have to use always, for anything: so do not change yourself as warranted : passport name always with our father's name , native place & etc: do not worry about that: you sign as usual:
suppose
your name is K.Sriram
and your place is Chennai
the passport name will be like this
chennai kuppusamy sriram
but you sign as K.Sriram for all |

Your signature is your signature. Another must match the original. If it is illegible it really doesn't matter. The name you gave on naturalization is now your legal name. It can be changed, but not for free. |
