Some Americans hypercritical?

Why are so many Americans looking to work, and live in Europe, plus seeking EU citizenship?
Isn’t it a bit hypocritical of them since they always telling others that Europe is all socialist and communist etc. Tell others how great the USA and it’s so called freedom but run down Europe. I have never read so many questions on this about moving to Europe.
I.E. How I get a British work visa, British citizenship. Can I get free health care in France, my grandparent left Italy 50 years ago now can I get citizenship? If I get EU citizenship will I get free health care? I know the USA in a recession and so are other countries. But my point is how hypercritical some Americans are. They tell others in the USA speak English and live the American way. But on this they which country can I live in Europe that I don't have to learn a language that they all speak English just for me.

I don't tell anyone to live the American way, and I also don't want to move to Europe. You're referring to "some" Americans on a question and answer website, what do you expect?

I've read plenty of questions about Europeans moving to America as well?

How do you sound, telling us we're hypocrites? Hypocritical?

I don't think that the same people who want EU citizenship are the same people criticizing Europe. Don't generalize so much.

hypercritical or hypocritical? anyway, you're talking about two different groups here, one that wants to move, another that wants to stay.

My guess is they are recent college grads that don't have a clue about how things are overseas. Besides, they want to leave that's their prerogative.

I think a lot of people make the mistake of lumping everyone in a certain country together and then making generalizations.

America is a very large country. The population is close to 300 million. Of course we have our fair share of ignorant bigots or isolationists. But, there are also many, many, people here that are warm and appreciative of other cultures. You can't listen to one group that is disparaging of the European lifestyle, and then pit those opinions against those that admire and would like to join in the European lifestyle by calling them hypocrites. They aren't the same people talking.

I don't believe that all British people are reserved and isolationist, all French people are haughty, or all Irish are drunk. You should not believe that all Americans run down Europe or hate socialism because of the comments of a few.

Also, it is very possible that many of us, like myself, love America and want to stay here, but also think that Europe is a great place with wonderful people. You don't have to hate one or the other.

All people are hypocritical to some extent. So it isn't just Americans.

I don't know any American's eager to work and live in the EU so I can't address that.

My advice is if you want to go, live elsewhere... Consult someone who has done this to learn the process.

You are referring to Expatriate Americans who want to live and work abroad. They are not the ones bashing Europe. It's people like me who want to stay here in the U.S. and wouldn't want to live anywhere else who are bashing Europe. Darn commie, socialist do nothings.;)
