Sponsoring my wife on F2 visa.?

I am on F1-OPT and want to bring my wife over to US on F2-visa. when i came to US, i was got sponsored by one of my relatives.the bank statements were all under my name but the affidavit of support was under my relative's name.So, my question is whether i can sponsor my wife or not.If not, then should the same relative has to sponsor her considering the fact that the primary applicant (me) was sponsored by him? If i can sponsor my wife then i better put my name on the affidavit of support (form I-134) and put the same amount in affidavit as in the bank statement right?. Please advise.
