TELL THE TRUTH. You need proof of the marriage. You need supporting information to show the marriage was not just a convenience to gain entry into the US. .. TELL THE TRUTH. If you lie and they find out about it they can stop your entry application immediately. And remember TELL THE TRUTH. |

To follow on to the previous answer, do not think hiding something that you might think reflects poorly on you and your husband is a good idea. Usually, the consular officer will be able to detect this, and because you have lied about one thing, it will put all of your other statements, however truthful, into question.
Bring lots of pictures, email, phone bills, money transfer records, letters, any evidence that can show the two of you have a long-term, ongoing relationship. |

For this, they will quiz you and would like to see evidence of your marriage. They interview thousands of people every year and so they have developed 'gut feeling' so to speak. Based on your answers they will know whether you are lying or not. I too can tell if you are lying or not by listening to your answers. So, they should be able to know based on your answers. On top of that, how good is your spouse? If he/she is a well educated person and holds white-collar job in the US that will boost your credibility. Anyway, good luck. If you are legitimate, you should be fine, otherwise you might be in trouble. If they are not satisfied with your answers, you will be on hold FOREVER. The process is pretty straight forward for immediate relative cases. If you lie, you will start to tumble and the interviewer detect that will start to quiz you more. You didn't mention if you were going for immigrant or non-immigrant visa. So, can't really provide any specific information regarding interview. Your passport is from which country? |
