Last year, a company in the US wanted to hire me and filed for a work permit. The petition was approved, but there was a long process for a review that followed. Eventually, the employer withdrew the application because the issuance was taking so long and I accepted work outside the US so I was no longer available for the vacancy. Now I am based in my home country and would like to visit the US on my B1B2 visa. Will my previous record about the company that I did not join withdrawing my petition have any effect if I try to enter the States? I already went there last year and would like to spend Christmas with my family. Thank you.

You should not have a problem, you are just visiting. as long as your visa is valid there is not problem. Even if you apply for another work permit. Immigration services will know that the employer withdrew the application. But if you want to know for sure just write to an Asylum office (immigration services) they will tell you if you can or not.

if you visited and left of your own accord ( not over stayed ) and your present visa is still valid there is no problem i can see that will prevent you from going again

What you really need to prove to the immigration officer is that you are not using a B1/B2 visa to sneak into the country. A return plane ticket, sufficient funds for a holiday and a letter from your employer are good things to have.

Of course, you may not be asked for any of that, but it will not hurt you to have them to hand.
