...and she needs a visa, with the nearest consulate being hundreds of miles away in Miami.
She often travels to the UK so I'm looking for the easiest way of doing things (she needs to use the Visa within 90 days, which is fine).
If she flies to the UK via Miami International airport, can she set a day aside and reliably get her visa issued the day she wants with no hiccups?
Or how about, while on holiday in the UK, getting a visa from the Brazilian consulate in London, despite the fact she's American?

She could get it in the UK, but it takes a minimum of three working days (when done in person) and generally around 10-15 days, so it will be difficult to do in UK.
She can apply at the Miami consulate by mail, this takes around 12 working days (or can be collected the next day if done in person).

A US citizen needs a visa to visit Brazil.
The visa MUST be obtained from the Brazilian Embassy or consulate nearest to the persons place of residence.
So no, unless she has a residence in the UK, she has to get one in the US. |
