marriage happened in a hurry.its a love marriage and register marriage.got only 5 snaps in the register office as proof of wedding with just 3 friends in it.Are those few photos and original marriage certificate sufficient to apply for usa dependent visa.My husband is on H1b.

All you need to apply for the H4 visa is the marriage certificate and proof of your husband's H1B visa or status: either a copy of the visa itself - which is available anyway through the worldwide database - or a copy of an I-797 form granting him a change of status to H1B.
You do NOT need an affidavit of support, nor any other documentation. |

If you are an American Citizen and want to apply for your husband, it's enough for you to file. Better if you have other paperworks showing that you are living together (joint bank account, mortgage etc) or have child together.

as the spouse of h1b visa holder, you can apply for H4 dependent non-immigrant visa at the US embassy in your country so you can live with your husband in US.
In addition to marriage certificate, you also need affidavit of support that completed and signed by your husband, your husband's bank statements, pay stubs, or tax returns to prove he can support your financial expenses in US, copy of your spouse's H1b I-797 approval notice, and your passport. good luck. |
