I recently received a call from usafis after visiting their website and giving my mobile number, and after listening to the representative, the service appeared to be legit and I signed up for one of their packages. However after doing more research into it I am finding lots of mixed reviews. Does anyone know how legit this service really is? And is it possible to cancel your registration and service?

http://www.dvlottery.state.gov/ is the ONLY legitimate way to enter the greencard lottery and it is free to enter, so anyone asking you to pay is not legit. Also, applications are only accepted between October and December -- any applications submitted outside these dates are invalid.
I doubt you can get your money back. If you paid by credit card, you can try calling your bank and disputing the charge. |
