bob, i think its not recognized in UK government marrying a filipino here in my country unless you got married in your UK embassy office. Some says they are officiating matrimonial rites in the embassy so that their partner can bring their back to UK... try to ask assistance in the UK consular Office. |

Yes you can,the processing for the spouse visa it takes for 3 to 4 months.Tell you wife to get all the requirements in Philippines..My friend approved her spouse visa after 3 months ,now she was living with her husband in UK a couple of years,they married in Philippines also .Goodluck.. |

Bob you are going to have a real headache with British immigration regarding the issue of a visa for your wife.
You would be better applying for a fiancee visa and marrying in the UK.
Even that can be difficult to obtain.Even with all the correct documentation many genuine people are refused a visa for no real apparent reason.
if your girlfriend obtains entry clearance with regards to a fiancee visa, then you should marry as soon as possible in the UK, and then apply for further leave to remain before the expiry of her fiancee visa ( 6 months ) Further leave to remain then lasts for 2 yrs, and she must then pass the life in the UK test before being eligible to apply for indefinite leave to remain no sooner than 28 days before the expiry of her further leave to remain visa.( indefinite leave to remain= settlement visa ).
The total cost of visas will be in excess of £2000.( more if you will need to appeal against any refusals )
I am sorry to say this but if she was a Muslim terrorist she would be granted a visa straight away.it is only honest genuine people who tend to get refused,( around 85% ) |
