Visa For America.....?

My aunt and 12 year old cousin got denied their visa for holiday to Florida is there anything that can be done as we just don't understand why a 12 year old would get denied (her dad and brother were granted theirs) and to add to that the guy doing the interview in the Embassy was a complete ******** he was so rude to my aunt she asked him was her daughter denied and he said "that's all mam" "goodbye mam" he was so ignorant

Basically all i want to know is their anyway they can appeal it or whatever they have already paid £300 for 2 interviews

We booked the holiday on Expedia but then we found out that we have to apply for our visas before we go and not in the airport or plane as previous years as this is a new thing that has been brought in

Well sometimes what happens is that the family doesn't want to actually apply for everyone at the same time as they don't want to spend all that money just to get turned down. so, if the first person is approved, the others come in. however, sometimes, the family likes to spin a little story around it claiming that mom and the other kid will stay, so of course dad and big brother will return, because mom and little sister will stay. then a week or two later, mom and little sister come in and say, hey, guess what, now we can go, so we want our visas too. only now the interviewing officer is looking at the original applications and wondering just why folks are playing this game? and then decides not to issue, because now it looks like the whole family intends to become illegal immigrants or otherwise, why wouldn't they just all come in at the same time? And if you're really unlucky and mom shows off her husband and child's US visas to prove they actually got them, the officer will simply cancel the first two and not issue the other two. If it looks like someone's playing a game, quite often the officer will assume they actually are and play another joke in return. now, it's entirely possible that your relatives were being completely honest, but you can be sure the interviewing officer didn't think so.

I am sorry you had such problems I applied for mine online called ESTA its a new thing that came out on the 12th January, I think you should seek advice if you go to the American Embassy website should tell you.
from what I had read they do have the right to refuse anyone, although it seemed that it would have to be some sort of violence or drugs, something not quite right about refusal of your son a 12 yr old.
good luck hope it gets resolved soon and you go to Florida

Since your aunt's visa application is denied, that why your 12 year old cousin's visa is also denied. Embassy looks for those people who will stay in US illegally beyond their visa validity.

She can try to apply again with evidence of stronger ties to her country, showing that she will definitely come back after the holiday, such as ownership of house, property, employer's letter stating when she is due to come back to work after holiday etc.

strange thing to happen,, but they should go back to there holiday reps and talk to them (the ones that sold them the holiday).

Try to appeal the decision to deny the visas, the embassy should be able to give information as far as this is concerned.
