i have turned in all of my papers and documents that I was supposed to send and now I have to write an e mail and ask them if they got it and my visa is over. how to write it with respect and not start with : Dear embassy?:)

Are you applying for an immigrant visa or a tourist visa? When you sent your documents, did you request a receipt? No email will be acknowledged. Write them a letter like:

Canadian Embassy
Address
Dear Sir/Madam:
I would like to seek verification on your receipt of the following documents that I sent by xxxx on date.
