Visa infos......URGENT!?

Does anyone know where to get some infos about visa requirements for Asia (Laos, Malaysia, Cambodia). I can't find online. As Irish do i need a visa for those countries? My friend is in Bangkok and can't fly so the train is the only solution. Thanks a millllion.

With the problems at the Bangkok airport, she should check with the Malaysian Embassy in Bangkok regarding visa requirements for citizens of Ireland. She probably does not need a visa if she is not going to be staying there, but is just going to catch a plane out. They will be understanding of the current situation. As long as she has enough money for the train and the plane ticket.

She can get a train from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur or go all the way to Singapore and catch a flight to London from either one. Forget Laos.

Tell her to be sure she takes something to eat and bottled water/beverages from a reliable source on the train with her! Do not accept food or beverages from anyone -- very politely decline and say she brought something with her. Actually the train ride is pretty nice, most of the people are quite nice, but be reasonably cautious.

A visa is required for Laos & Cambodia, but those can be arranged without too much hassle upon arrival at the airport.
No visa is required for Malaysia.
