Visa to US?

My bestfriend is getting married in US on august, and I plan to apply for the visa this month ,February. My fiancee (Dutch national,whos moving to US for job purposes )and I are getting married next month and he will be processing my visa to live with him temporarily. If i apply for my visit visa to US this month for my bestfriends wedding on august. Will it complicate if my future husband request for the visa for us?
Or should I wait?thanks.

Going for Baroque is correct. There's no reason not to apply for a tourist visa now. Of course, there's no guarantee you'll get it either, but whether you get it or not, it won't affect your dependent visa to go with your husband, if he's getting an H or L visa, or something similar. By the way, since this isn't an immigrant visa you're talking about, it won't take 6 to 12 months. It will take however long it takes to get an interview appointment. In Abu Dhabi, what is that, 1 day, a week? As long as you're married and he either has or is also getting his work visa, you're qualified.

You didn't state your citizenship. Here's what I see- You plan to marry in soon, to a Dutch guy who'll have a job-related visa. I guess this won't be a permanent resident visa, but something like an H1-B, L, R, or some other similar, temporary visa. The factors I don't know here include the type of visa, who is sponsoring him, where his application will get submitted, etc. I also don't know if you are eligible for visa waiver or if you'll need a visa of your own.

If I were you, I'd get that regular B1/B2 visa. It'll be good for ten years. Your husband-to-be's working visa may not last that long. So if you have two visas (your own visitor and a temporary derivative through him), it won't hurt anything.

The element that matters is your ties to another country. When you apply for a visa, make sure you can demonstrate that your ties to another country are significant- usually a job. One other thing to consider- sometimes things don't go as planned. If his job falls through, you'll still have a way to be here in August. Good luck!

It sounds simple but it may not that simple.. depends on what country you're from. You may try with B1/B2 but the chance to get a visa is somewhat slim.

i dont think so. just apply. i think the more credit u get f u return home or had followed the rules incase u get the 1st one and will apply for the second.

If your husband is applying for the visa let him do the visa processing. It will be 6-12 months for processing.
