my grandma is in Mexico. my mom wants to bring her over, but she doesnt have a passport or anything. is there a way she can bring her (legally)? like for example, a passport or a visa?
p.s. my mom is a permanent resident.

Well, if you're asking about bringing her here permanently as an immigrant, that won't be possible. Only American citizens can file immigrant visa petitions for parents. So,until your mother becomes a US citizen, she won't be able to sponsor her as an immigrant.
If your grandmother simply wants to visit as a tourist, she'll need a passport and then apply for a tourist visa. Check out usembassy.state.gov for the websites of the US embassy and the various consulates in Mexico to check on how to apply for a tourist visa and the forms required. |

A U.S. citizen may bring family members to the U.S for the purpose of immigration with some exceptions.
Permanent residents cannot, however if she has been a resident, married to a U.S. citizen for 3 years or just a resident for at least 5 years then she can apply for naturalization and become an American citizen... get a US passort and use the rights of citizens to sponsor thier families journey to the U.S.
