My fiance is in the US and Im planning to go back there..I was wondering is there another visa for aus passport holder...apart from the VWP... i dont reaally want to leave after 90days...6 months or 12 would be good...also does anyone know a site where I can find sponsors.?? so I can work in the US.Im the Hospitality Industry...
Last year I was in the US for a total of 10months...i was heading to the Bahamas after visa has expired then going back to the US again..But i got tired of doing that . any suggestion would help...
Also my fiance is not american his on a working visa as well..so I dont think his status there can help much.

My GF got a 6 month tourist visa when she came here. But you better start on it now as there is plenty of paperwork to take care of. Be prepared not to work though, it is illegal for you to earn money while you are here. Of course you could probably get around it, but is it worth getting banned for life? |

You could apply for a regular tourist visa, which would allow you to stay up to six months, but given the fact that you spent 10 months there last year, you might be turned down. You might not be allowed to enter under VWP either. VWP and tourist visas aren't intended to be used to live and work in the US. So, given this game plan, you should be turned down, actually.
Depending on what sort of work visa your fiance has, you might be able to join him, if you were actually married as a derivative beneficiary. being engaged won't help though. If you did go as an H-4, to his H1b for example, you could live together as long as he's in status, but you wouldn't be able to work. |
