hi im a uk citizen n have been all my life. have fallen in love with a guy from mauritius and want to get married in the uk. have been on the home office website to look for details of the process but havent had much luck. can anyone tell me the process or let me know where i can obtail the documents please.

Contact the British Home Office in London for further information and the diplomatic representative in London of Mauritius. |

In these day and age, one cannot assume you are female. If you are, you should be able to get married to him at a register office in your town. It doesn't matter if he came from mars. But the marriage does not confer British citizenship automatically. That has to be sorted out separately.
But if you are both guys, it may be slightly more complicated. Consult the register's office. |

why would you want to do that,and even more important why would he want you to do that , Mauritius is a French colony and he can get a french passport any time he likes if he has not got one already, which means he can marry you any time any where and be entitled to live in England , no me think he is after your money, and anything else he can get, so wake up and smell the roses, but If you are happy with this situation then the above still applies and it going to be much easier than you think, unless he is telling you one thing and is someone else. |
