We had applied for passport for our daughter & The status By feeding application no. shows wrong application?

Application no Not valid. So what to do for knowing , whether its rejected or accepted.

where have you applied for her passport ? in which country? i cannot help you out if you do not give more information?
why not return to the place where you have applied ? or contact them by mail ? why would her passport be denied ? did you produce all the necessary papers ?
are you perhaps talking about a visa? for a passport is not often rejected to a child ?..........

It happens in India. May be due to error at any stage. You can check with RPO. Do not worry. It is common. It is only 1-2%.

You have definately enter the passport no. in wrong way. I have used that service to know about my passport. and It was satisfactory.
you should open the site of passport office where you have filed the application. then only it will show correct information, but if you open and search in different passport office data it shows invalid number.

There are two possibilities.
1). Normally the status of application will be available after the police inquiry is over. Once police inquiry is over then our Application form detail is uploaded on computer system.
2). We have to select year of application also in the drop down box given at the site. Give me your application no, date and location of passport office and I will be back to you.
