What US Visa do i need, if attending a short Wolf course, and then volunteering after?

I am travelling to the USA in June, and can't work out what visa i need. I am doing a course at the International Wolf Center in MN, www.wolf.org for 5 days, paying for it. Then I am travelling to OR to volunteer at another center for the whole of July. I am a student however the student visa doesn't apply as I am not going to an institute, and as I am getting house and food for the volunteer I don't think i am eligle for the waiver! Any help would e so helpfull! Thank you

I would ask your course organizer what type of visa they recommend. It sounds to me like you need a B-1 "business" visa, though. Basically, B-1 means you are going to engage in short-term, non-remunerated professional-type work. I've included the link below with more info:

You don't mention what country you are from. Do you even need a visa. It sounds like if you're from a visa waiver country you could travel on the Visa Waiver Program, as long as you'll be in the US less than 90 days.

Esta is compulsory now before you go .there are such things as student visa, you will have to apply now your cutting it fine though.also you can apply for Esta online and get approved online too.good luck |
