hi, i'm from Philippines. i’m 26 years old, a nursing student, i'm a second courser, i'm not married, no kids, i live with my parents, and i’m applying for a tourist visa. planning to spend christmas and new year in the US for 2 weeks just before i go back to school after the holidays. my parents will take care of my expenses. i’m going to stay with a family friend there. she asked me if i want to see america before her o-visa expires next year. i don’t have relatives in US. What do you think are my chances?

probably not very good, you fit a profile of young, single, etc. unless you have a job property and money, its tough to get one. but if you apply, all you have to lose is $131
since you are in nursing school you may be thinking about immigrating later |

Unless you have an issue with your background, you should not have issue in get a B2 visa. |

you should have sufficient bank statment, check with the guidlines of your country and some proofs that can assure that you will return back to your country. good luck |
