Your brother has to make a formal invitation and you have to provide documented evidence that you will be returning to India after your visit. You will also need to prove that you have health insurance and that your brother has enough room for you where he is living. Best place to ask for details is the nearest German consulate.

Requirements Passport with validity of at least 3 months longer than the period of intended stay.
Visa application must be made on the latest form, to be provided free of cost by the German Embassy. All columns in the application form have to be filled in. Please enter NA in the space provided if particular column/s is/are not applicable in your case.
Two yellow forms, for a visit up to 3 months or two white forms, for a visit for more than 3 months.
2 Recent passport size colour photographs with light background to be glued on the appropriate place on the visa application form. Photograph should not have any stapler pin marks disfiguring the face or background
Covering letter from the applicant on company's letterhead stating his name, designation, purpose and duration of visit.
Original Appointment letter or Work Contract from the proposed German Employer along with a Photocopy.
Proof of Educational and Professional Qualifications, in original and a Photocopy each.

Medical Requirements Overseas Medical Insurance must have a minimum coverage of Euro 30,000/- with the inclusion of a repatriation flight if required.
