What countries can I get a passport for? ?

I am a British Citizen, born and raised in Scotland, I was wondering for what other countries could I obtain a passport without living there? Or is it just Great Britain? I know some people who have managed to obtain American or Australian passports without living there, but I'm not sure if that's because their parents are from there....

Without good reason you can only get a passport from the nation of which you are a citizen. If you move to another country and become a citizen there by adopting that nationality or take the nationality of your parent, some countries allow you to retain your native nationality. In which case you have dual citizenship and can have two passports.

Or become an international spy and your country will allow you any passport they like, with a free gun and suicide pill set!

you can only get a uk passport unless one of your parents is not uk born

if both your parents British, then you get a British passport

if one of you parents is from another country, or both are,

then you may be entitled to dual citizenship with their country of birth
